FAQs
Find answers to common questions about the U.S. Junior Golf Tour, registration, tournaments, and scoring.
Registration and Eligibility
Who can register for tournaments?
Any junior golfer can register for tournaments on the U.S. Junior Golf Tour. Players must be registered under a parent or guardian account. Each player has an assigned competitive division based on their age and gender.
Do I need a membership to play in tournaments?
Membership options depend on the tour operator's pricing structure. Check the membership page to see current pricing and whether a membership is required.
What are the age divisions?
The U.S. Junior Golf Tour organizes players into competitive divisions by age and gender. For the complete list of active divisions and their age ranges, visit the divisions page.
Can I register for multiple tournaments at once?
Yes. Registration happens per tournament through each tournament's detail page. You can register your player for as many tournaments as you wish, and payments for each registration are processed separately.
Tournament Details
Where can I find the tournament schedule?
All upcoming tournaments are listed on the tournaments page. You can view dates, locations, course information, and entry fees. Most tournaments open registration several weeks in advance.
What is the entry fee?
Entry fees vary by tournament and are displayed on each tournament's detail page at registration. Some tournaments may be free to enter. The entry fee typically covers the golf course fees, scoring support, and access to live leaderboards and results.
Can I cancel my registration?
Cancellation policies are set by the tour operator and may vary by tournament. Refund requests should be submitted to the tour operator before the event start date. For details about refund eligibility and procedures, see the refund policy page.
How does the tournament format work?
Most tournaments use a stroke play format where players compete by total score. Each hole is played and scored according to the Rules of Golf. Winning is determined by the lowest total score. Tournament details, including format, number of holes, and course handicaps, are listed on each tournament's registration page.
Scoring and Results
How are scores recorded?
On-course scorekeepers record scores hole by hole as play progresses. After all groups finish, scores are entered into the scoring system and verified by tournament administrators before being published.
When will results be posted?
Tournament results are typically published within a few hours of the event completion, once scores have been verified. Final results include leaderboards sorted by division, and individual player cards showing hole-by-hole scoring.
Where can I view my player's scores?
Scores are published on the tournament leaderboard and on your player's public profile page. You can also access score details through your parent account in the tournament results section.
How are rankings determined?
Season rankings are calculated based on points earned at each tournament. Points are awarded according to finish position in each division. The live standings show your player's cumulative points and their ranking in their division. Rankings update after each tournament is completed and verified.
Payments
How is payment processed?
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. When you register for a tournament, you are directed to a secure checkout page where you can enter your payment information. Your payment is confirmed immediately, and you receive a confirmation email.
What payment methods are accepted?
Stripe accepts all major credit cards and debit cards. You can use Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and other supported payment methods.
Is my payment information safe?
